Like all the other greeks, Spartans participatied in the Olympic games. It was a sacred time, because there was no war and everyone was on there best behavior. Here is our new and improved oath for 4th period Sparta of University School of Milwaukee 2010-2011.
I promise, by Zeus and Sparta to be honest, loyal, trustworthy, and honorable. During the games, we shall not lie, steal, or cheat. As that would bring dishonor to Zeus and Sparta. We shall try our hardest to bring back gold medals for Zeus, for Are, and Sparta. May the best city-state win. Go Sparta!
